Lyon under the ice

These pictures were taken with Nicolas's reflex. It was in January, when the weather became reaaaally cold in Lyon (-16 in the morning...Yeah ok, the swedish girl who is reading this right now is laughing, but still ;)

The fontain on the "Place des Terreaux", completely iced. The basin was solid and people were walking on it!

This is part of the communication campain they're doing for the riverside of the Saône.
They're gonna arrange it like they did for the Rhône (which is a big success.)

Don't really know why this composition catched my eyes, but I couldn't let it pass like that ;)

I love this picture, It looks like we were in the North Pole, on an expedition,
and our boat was trapped in the ice :D

Wandering in the city

Pictures from the riverside of the Saône in Lyon. 

This is the point where the Saône and the Rhône are meeting. It's called Confluence. I love the old raildroad
who sinks in the water.
Where are the trains? Where were they going? 

The deserted entry of an old and beautiful mansion. The riversides are full of them....
I like to imagine the former splendor of these houses, full of people and music, horse carriages and beautiful dresses.

The moon over the Lyon City Hall. Too bad the picture is not taken with a reflex, the quality is not very good, but I like it.
